Important Updates for the Singapore Cruise Centre Relocation (UPDATED)
Heading to Batam or a Cruise? Important Updates for the Singapore Cruise Centre Relocation (Updated July 2026)

If you have an upcoming weekend getaway to Batam, Bintan, or a regional cruise booked with us, this is a must-read!
The iconic HarbourFront Centre mall is officially closing its doors on July 27, 2026, for a major, multi-year redevelopment into a stunning new 33-storey mixed-use waterfront building.
Because of this, the Singapore Cruise Centre (SCC) is moving to a brand-new terminal.

Here is everything you and your family need to know before you head out.
The Relocation Timeline: When is Your Ferry Moving?
To ensure a smooth transition, the move to the new terminal at 5 HarbourFront Avenue is happening in two quick phases this July:
3 Things That Are NOT Changing
We know terminal changes can sound stressful, but the Singapore Cruise Centre has made sure the core of your travel experience stays exactly the same:
-
Your Schedules & Routes Are Safe: Every single departure time, route, and destination—whether you are heading to Batam Centre, Harbour Bay, Sekupang, Tanjung Balai Karimun, Gold Coast, or Nirup Island—remains exactly as printed on your booking confirmation.
-
Same Boarding Gates: The actual physical ship berths and docking locations are completely unchanged.
-
Essential Amenities are Coming Along: The new terminal will feature upgraded, tech-enabled passenger spaces, money changers, convenience shops, and food options to keep your pre-boarding routine seamless.
4 Major Upgrades Making Your Journey Way Smarter
Forget the old days of squeezing into narrow corridors and waiting in endless manual queues. The brand-new, 14,300sqm terminal is 50% larger and completely re-engineered for speed and comfort:
1. Airport-Style Self-Check-In & Bag Drops
No more standing in long lines just to pick up a paper ticket you bought online. The new ground floor features 25 self-service kiosks where you can instantly print your boarding passes and luggage tags. Even better? Ticketing and baggage drop are now integrated onto the exact same floor, saving you from juggling escalator rides with heavy bags.
2. Passport-Less Immigration Clearance
Immigration has gone fully futuristic. The departure hall boasts 14 automated clearance lanes equipped with facial biometric scanning. If you are a Singapore citizen, PR, or eligible long-term pass holder enrolled in the ICA automated system, you can clear through to the boarding gates using just your face, no physical passport scanning required!
3. Way More Breathing Room for Families
Heading out during a peak school holiday or a long weekend? The massive new departure concourse means you won't feel packed like sardines. The terminal even features 8 dedicated Special Assistance Lanes designed specifically to give families with strollers, toddlers, pregnant travelers, and seniors a fast-tracked, stress-free path through customs.
4. Fresh Bites & Great Amenities
The new space features modern nursing rooms, prayer rooms, wheelchair lifts, and EV charging points in the parking area. If you want a quick bite before boarding, Subway and 7-Eleven are already up and running, with local crowd-favorites like Old Chang Kee joining a lineup of more than 10 retail and grab-and-go food brands opening very soon. Cruise travelers can also enjoy a spacious new premium VIP lounge that seats up to 70 guests.
Quick Guide: How to Get to the New Terminal
The new terminal is a standalone, terracotta-red building located right behind HarbourFront Tower 2 and directly opposite The Reef at King's Dock condominium.
-
If taking the MRT: Take HarbourFront MRT Station Exit B.
Fully sheltered walkways have been set up to guide you easily from the MRT station and VivoCity straight into the new passenger terminal. -
If taking a Taxi / Ride-Hailing: Set your drop-off location directly to 5 HarbourFront Avenue, Singapore 099549.
-
Travel Tip: We strongly advise taking public transit or being dropped off.
Parking spaces at the new terminal building are extremely limited compared to the old mall layout.
