Meet the Panda Train: China's Latest Luxury Rail Experience Captivating Global Travelers!

A new era of luxury rail tourism has dawned in China with the launch of the "Panda Train · Chengdu," a panda-themed tourist train that embarked on its inaugural journey on May 18, 2025. This 16-day, 15-night expedition covers over 8,000 kilometers from Chengdu to the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, offering passengers an immersive experience through some of China's most breathtaking landscapes.

Luxury on Rails

Developed jointly by China Railway Chengdu Group and Chengdu Culture and Tourism Development Group, the "Panda Train · Chengdu" is a high-end boutique tourist train designed to offer luxury and comfort. The train comprises 18 carriages, including 54 guest rooms, and can accommodate up to 132 passengers. Each carriage is equipped with modern amenities such as adjustable air conditioning, wide scenic windows, ultra-quiet cabins, and enhanced smart facilities, ensuring an optimal viewing and living experience.

Exceptional Service and Amenities

Staffed by 18 "panda butlers," seven vacation ambassadors, eight professional chefs, and a 50-member support team, the train offers round-the-clock premium service. Passengers can enjoy a variety of amenities, including a music bar, cultural exhibitions, coffee leisure areas, movie entertainment, and train theaters. The dining experience is equally impressive, with the "Golden Panda Restaurant" serving a fusion of traditional Sichuan cuisine and modern culinary delights.

High Demand and International Appeal

The tour package, starting at 55,900 yuan (approximately $7,700) per person, includes train tickets, accommodation, dining, shuttle transfers, and admission to scenic spots. Since global presales began in December, all tickets from May to September have been sold out. Notably, approximately 70% of the customers are inbound visitors from countries and regions including Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
